On January 23rd, 2025, we launched Profoundly - marking the start of a movement to transform how HubSpot expertise creates, captures, and multiplies value across the ecosystem. In a powerful opening conversation, Chris Carolan, Jason Azocar, and Brian Garvey shared their vision for a platform that fundamentally changes how HubSpot expertise gets found, shared, and valued.

The timing couldn't be more critical. As HubSpot continues its rapid evolution from marketing tool to comprehensive customer platform, the ecosystem faces a growing challenge: connecting the right expertise with the right opportunities at the right time. While the platform becomes more powerful by the day, organizations struggle to find the specific help they need to unlock its full potential. Meanwhile, individual experts and smaller agencies - often the sources of the deepest, most valuable expertise - lack effective ways to demonstrate and deliver their value.

Three Journeys Converging

The stories behind Profoundly's founding team illuminate both the challenge and the opportunity. Jason Azocar's 15-year journey in the ecosystem began at Wayfair, where he first encountered HubSpot's magnetic pull on top talent. "The best engineers in Boston, but also in the country were like, 'Wayfair sounds really cool, but there's this thing called HubSpot and they're doing really special things with their product,'" he recalled. This early insight into HubSpot's ability to attract excellence would later inform his work building Hub Search, which has completed over 500 placements connecting HubSpot talent with opportunity.

Brian Garvey's path to Profoundly was shaped by personal experience with both the entrepreneurial journey and the power of expertise. Growing up in a family business, he learned firsthand "how hard it is to scale and build a business... there's a challenge around every corner every single day." This understanding of the entrepreneur's struggle, combined with his strategic experience at Amazon and HubSpot, drove his vision for a platform that makes it radically easier for businesses to find the help they need to grow better.

Chris Carolan brought perspective from the industrial manufacturing sector, where he witnessed the persistent gap between available expertise and actual implementation. "You have all these experts or industrial focused agencies, like telling you exactly what you need to do, but it's not getting through," he explained. This observation led to the Let's Build series, which has been demonstrating the transformative power of making expertise more accessible and actionable.
