How to Write a Winning Job Post on Profoundly

How to Write a Winning Job Post on Profoundly
10:46

Creating an effective job post on Profoundly is essential for quickly connecting with the right HubSpot expert for your needs. A well-crafted job post not only attracts more qualified proposals but also helps Pros provide more accurate, tailored solutions to your specific challenges.

Taking the time to create a detailed job post results in:

  1. Faster Responses: Pros can quickly determine if they're the right fit for your needs
  2. More Accurate Proposals: Detailed information leads to more tailored solutions
  3. Better Matches: You'll attract Pros with the specific expertise you need
  4. Smoother Projects: Clear expectations from the start lead to better outcomes
  5. Time Savings: Less back-and-forth required to clarify requirements

Here's how to write a job post that will get you the best, fastest help with your request.

What a Job Post Looks Like on Profoundly

First, here's what to expect from the anatomy of a job post on the Profoundly Marketplace.

When you post a job on Profoundly, you'll be prompted to complete four key sections that help Pros understand your needs:

1. Job Title

Make it specific and attention-grabbing. This is what Pros see first in their notifications and job listings. Instead of "HubSpot Help," try "HubSpot Marketing Campaign Setup for Healthcare Lead Generation."

2. Project Description

This is where you provide the critical details that help Pros determine if they're the right fit for your project. Include:

  • Specific HubSpot subscription level (Starter, Professional, Enterprise)
  • Whether this is for your internal portal or a client's (if you're an agency)
  • Your ideal Pro profile (individual freelancer or agency team)
  • Preferred payment structure (hourly, project-based, or retainer)

The rich text editor allows you to format your description with bullet points, links, and other formatting to make your requirements clear and easy to scan.

3. Budget

Providing a budget range helps Pros understand the scope of your project and tailor their proposals accordingly. You can specify hourly rates (e.g., $80-200/hr) or project budgets (ex. $3k-5k). Being transparent about your budget saves time for both parties.

4. Timeline

Clearly communicate your deadline expectations. Whether you need a quick turnaround ("Within 1 week") or have a specific end date ("By end of Q2"), setting clear timeline expectations helps Pros determine if they can meet your requirements.

Tips for Optimizing your Job Posting

Be Clear About Your HubSpot Challenge

The most successful job posts clearly articulate what you're trying to accomplish. Rather than simply asking for a "HubSpot expert," explain the specific problem you're trying to solve:

Instead of: "Looking for someone to help with HubSpot."

Try: "Need help configuring lead scoring in HubSpot to prioritize prospects from our healthcare vertical based on specific engagement patterns."

This level of specificity helps Pros understand the depth of your challenge and whether their expertise aligns with your needs.

Provide Relevant Context

Share important details about your business situation that will help Pros understand your needs:

  • Your Hubs: Specify which HubSpot Hubs you're using (Marketing, Sales, Service, CMS, Operations)
  • Subscription Tier: Mention if you're on Starter, Professional, or Enterprise
  • Current Status: Describe what you've already tried or implemented
  • Team Context: Note who will be working with the Pro and their HubSpot experience level
  • Timeline: Indicate when you need the work completed

This context helps Pros tailor their proposals to your unique situation rather than providing generic responses.

Be Specific About Deliverables

Clearly outline what success looks like for this project. What should the Pro deliver by the end of your engagement?

Instead of: "Help us improve our email marketing."

Try: "Create 3 automated nurture workflows for different buyer personas, including customized email templates and performance tracking dashboards."

Specific deliverables lead to more accurate proposals and clearer expectations on both sides.

Indicate Your Budget Range

While it might feel uncomfortable to share budget information upfront, providing a general range helps Pros understand the scope of what you're looking for and suggest appropriate solutions. This prevents mismatched expectations and wasted time.

Consider sharing your budget as a range with a minimum and maximum, and clarify whether this is a one-time project budget or an ongoing monthly allocation.

Mention Your Ideal Timeline

Let Pros know when you're looking to start the project and your desired completion date. This helps them determine if they can accommodate your schedule and provide realistic timelines in their proposals.

Be specific about any hard deadlines or important dates that might impact the project timeline.

Describe Your Ideal Working Relationship

Are you looking for a one-time project, ongoing support, or strategic partnership? Do you prefer structured weekly check-ins or as-needed communication? Sharing these preferences helps Pros understand how you like to work and ensures a better fit.
